FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

KING SOOPERS SELECTS HEATH CONSTRUCTION FOR MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR ADDITION AND REMODEL OF FORT COLLINS STORE

Fort Collins, Colo., October 13, 2009 - King Soopers recently selected Heath Construction (www.heathconstruction.com) for a multi-million dollar addition and remodel of a King Soopers grocery store that has served Fort Collins residents for 30 years.

The work, which begins in late October at the King Soopers store on the corner of West Elizabeth Street and Taft Hill Road, will include a complete remodel of the existing 58,000-square- foot store and construction of a 10,000-square-foot addition on the buildingis north side. The store will remain open throughout construction, which is scheduled to be completed in June 2010.

"Heath has worked with many well-known big-box retailers throughout the region and completed a number of complex projects," said Randy DeMario, Heath president. "We have the knowledge and expertise to complete any type of big-box work. Whether the project required constructing a 200,000-square-foot Wal-Mart Supercenter the size of four football fields in 10 months, or remodeling an existing store without disrupting shoppers, Heath met the challenge."

For the King Soopers store in West Fort Collins, the Heath team will remodel and update the entire store interior, including the pharmacy and such specialty areas as the bakery, floral, deli, customer service and meat and seafood departments; create two new entrances; add a coffee shop; and update all lighting.

"We selected Heath because they completed our pre-qualification program and appear to be a great company to work with," said Jeff McEnaney, project engineer and manager, King Soopers. "We expect theyill do a great job for us."

Leading the Heath team are two construction-industry veterans.

Senior Project Manager Dave Solonycze has worked on several prominent projects, including the $23 million Cathedral School in Little Rock, Ark.; a $72 million hydropower project in Fort Smith, Ark.; and a $65 million waste water treatment plant in Houston, Tex. Heath Superintendent Albert Hamill has overseen a number of large and complex projects in Northern Colorado, including construction of Fort Collins High School, Mountain View High School and the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Timnath, Colo. Heath built Good Samaritan assisted-living facilities in Greeley, Fort Collins and Loveland. The company also constructed assisted-living facilities for Brush Housing Authority.
