“It doesn’t cost any more to do it right the first time.”
There’s nothing more impressive than a real pro at work on a jobsite, doing a first class job. He is living proof that on a well-run project, doing a job right the first time is a great way to save time and money.
Every now and then, we run into a craftsman who seems to think that by cutting corners you can cut costs. Not true. On a Heath jobsite, cutting corners on quality actually costs more in the long run. Doing the work twice is never cost-efficient! We set the bar high, and we don’t lower it for anybody.
This places a heavy responsibility on the shoulders of the project manager and superintendent managing the jobsite. But by running the project on schedule, and setting our standards early and explicitly for each subcontractor who walks onto the job, we make it easier for our partners to succeed – without having to do any work twice.
