"Introducing a successful public/private partnership."
The Avery Block restoration project is the latest in a long series of inspired projects that have helped create the elegance and warmth of Fort Collins. Many were missions of historical preservation. Others were not strictly “historical,” but with respect for our architectural heritage they fit right in and made a huge contribution – from beautiful parks and alleys to tasteful storefronts all over town. Many of these projects resulted from smooth-working “public/private” partnerships. While government organizations elsewhere struggle to work together and move forward, here in Fort Collins the spirit of collaboration is alive and well! We are working together, drawing on the strengths of both public and private enterprise, and achieving important successes – like the Avery Block restoration. We salute all the partners in this project.
